Monochrome Madness 2-1

My wife and I visited Fremont, California a couple of weeks ago and walked along the shores of Lake Elizabeth where I took this shot. It will be my entry to this week’s Monochrome Madness Challenge over on Leanne Cole’s website.

Lake Elizabeth in Fremont, California.

Lake Elizabeth in Fremont, California.

Fremont is about a half-hour from our home in Castro Valley. We lived there for three years in the 1970s and we go back to visit every so often. It’s the southernmost city in Alameda County and the fourth largest city in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Lake Elizabeth is named after Elizabeth, South Australia which is Fremont’s sister city.

The Monochrome Madness Challenge was started by Laura Macky and Leanne Cole a year ago. Drop by Leanne’s website to see what other photographers are doing this week.

I haven’t been there in years. Nice shot.

  2. I haven’t been by here in a few years myself. It’s a lovely park, and you found a great tree to frame the lake. Well done!

  3. what a beautiful shot!!!!

Did you know that one of Elizabeth’s famous sons is Aussie rock legend, Jimmy Barnes, formerly of Cold Chisel? 🙋
