Monochrome Madness 2-38: Christmas in Monochrome

Leanne’s theme for MM 2-38 is “Christmas where we are” and I have decided to submit this shot of my then eight-year-old grandson standing by our Christmas tree on Christmas Day 2010.

We change our tree ornaments every year. Five years ago we had a musical tree — music notes, musical instruments and music sheets adorned the tree.

Our tree hasn’t grown an inch in five years but our grandson is now a foot and a half taller. He also is a percussionist in his middle school’s band, following in the footsteps of his aunt who played the drums in high school and his mother who played the keyboard during her high school years and still plays the piano.

Don’t forget to wander over to Leanne’s website to see how other photographers are handling Leanne’s Christmas theme this week.

Happy Holidays to all my readers!
