After our trip to Spain and Portugal last month we flew to New York City and stayed there for four days before flying the rest of the way home. We walked around the city a lot and one day visited the World Trade Center and 9-11 Memorial. I took a lot of pictures looking up at all the skyscrapers. This one will be my entry to this week’s Monochrome Madness Challenge.

The building in the center is 4 WTC. I took many shots of all of the WTC buildings plus the 9-11 Memorial and will show some of them in another posting in a month or two.
I processed this photo using Adobe Lightroom and Nik Silver Efex Pro. Here is the color version of the photo. It was processed in Lightroom and Nik Color Efex Pro.
This was our second visit to the 9-11 site. When we visited Ground Zero in 2007 we saw nothing but a huge hole in the ground where 1 WTC now stands. It’s the tallest building in the western hemisphere and is 104 stories high. 4 WTC is 72 stories high. It was completed in 2013. They are still working on 2 and 3 WTC. 7 WTC was completed in 2006.
