MM 4-31 Up in the Air

Well, I’ve been pretty busy recently and I also caught a cold the other day. And I imbibed a little too much at the wedding I attended over the weekend. So even though everything has been a bit cloudy lately I still found some time to select a photo for Leanne’s Monochrome Madness this week. But this takes the cake: Then I forgot to send the photo to Leanne! Yikes! Oh, here it is, anyway:

Leanne’s theme for this week is Up in the Air.

We flew from San Francisco to Newark last year on our way to Scotland. And while waiting at Newark Liberty International for our next flight which would take us to Edinburgh,  I took this shot of a plane that just took off and seems to be flying just over the World Trade Center. Those of you who followed our trip to Scotland last year may remember the color version of this photo, which you can find here. It was the first photo I took on our 2016 vacation.

Australian photographer Leanne Cole hosts the weekly Monochrome Madness Challenge. Drop by her website on Thursday (Wednesday in North America or Europe) to see what Leanne and other photographers from all over the world are doing in monochrome these days.  Leanne has a specific theme for the first week of every month. This week her theme is Up in the Air.

Sorry, Leanne. I’ll try to remember next week!

Been there, done that. I now have a reminder set up for Mondays.

  2. I’ve been there. Done that! 🙂 We’re gettign over the cold that’s going around in our area. I hope you are too! The plane looks like it might be heading west. I love the skyline.

That is cool capture of the plane!
